Overview
All Faiths Children’s Academy required a robust, well-finished timber canopy to provide weather protection and a safer covered threshold for the nursery area. Walkem Group delivered a clean, durable structure that integrates neatly with the existing building, improving day-to-day comfort for children, staff and parents during arrivals and pick-ups.

The Challenge
The canopy needed to be installed safely within an active school environment, with careful attention to safeguarding, access control and programme. The existing building fabric required precise setting-out to achieve a straight, crisp line and reliable falls for effective rainwater management.
Our Solution
We planned the works around the school’s operational requirements, maintaining secure segregation and clear pedestrian routes. The timber frame was set out accurately, with robust fixings to the host structure and a neatly detailed roof build-up. Integrated rainwater goods were installed to manage run-off effectively, delivering a smart, hard-wearing canopy finished to a high standard.
